BENEFITING: YOUTH IMPACT PROGRAM INC
EVENT DATE: Sep 14, 2013
Inspired by two friends, Jeff Faine and Riki Ellison and their commitment to improving the lives of young people across the country, I challenged myself to run 100 miles in 24 hours in order to raise $10,000 for their organizations. I am asking you to join me in this challenge - through a generous donation of any amount!
For those of you fortunate enough to know Jeff or Riki, you know their passion and intensity have driven them to do some amazing things on the football field. What often goes unseen is that, off the field, they mix those same talents with hearts of gold to do good and to positively impact the lives of young people throughout the country. Their organizations, The Faine House and Youth Impact Program, are incredible programs which help individuals overcome the challenges before them and promote positive development for at-risk youth.
The money raised through this run will be split between these two great organizations and we hope others will join in the 100 mile challenge in years to come.
For those of you in the Milwaukee area, I will be running 20 laps of a 5-mile loop on Lake Drive with my home as base-camp. I will begin at 12:01 am on the September 14th and (God-willing) will end before Midnight. I am planning on hour-long breaks throughout the day to eat and drink ol' fashioneds. Stop on by and join us for a run, drink or both!
