BENEFITING: Baltimore Curriculum Project Inc
City Springs Elementary/Middle School is a neighborhood charter school operated by the Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP). We are a conversion charter school, which means we were an already existing Baltimore City Public School that partnered with the Baltimore Curriculum Project to bring innovative and research-based curriculum and other programs to enhance the school.
As we, the community of City Springs, continue working toward raising achievement levels, we are also working toward improving the school’s attendance rate per student and per class in every grade level.
Research shows that attendance is a leading indicator of academic success and the likelihood of graduation. Thus it is our mission as community volunteers to inspire our students to attend school on a consistent basis and in a timely manner.
This initiative includes educating students on the importance of attendance and incentivizing them with rewards such as raffle items and field trips. In particular, the raffle program will reward prizes to randomly selected students who exhibit regular and/or improved attendance.
We will encourage increased and continued student participation by rewarding smaller prizes through a monthly drawing and a grand prize drawing at the end of the school year for those students who have consistently maintained regular attendance.
To establish the motivation model effectively, we need your support. Generous donations from caring people like you and organizations such as yours are what will help us in our endeavor to encourage kids to come to school regularly and on time.
Your contribution to this creditable cause would be highly appreciated. The following tax exemption number (52-1961406) can be used to write off your donation during tax season and a tax receipt will be provided. In appreciation of your contribution, you will receive a donation certificate created by the students of City Springs expressing their gratitude for your gift as well as a BCP thank you letter.
