On December 8 the non-profit organization EnlightenNext will be holding its fourth annual Meditation Marathon fundraising campaign. On that day people all over the world who have been inspired by the work of EnlightenNext will meditate for 24 hours to raise funds to support the work of EnlightenNext.
I have joyfully participated in all three previous marathons and am looking forward to this one. This year, however, I will be raising money for two magnificent causes – EnlightenNext and The Integral Heart Foundation.
On this page you can donate to The Integral Heart Foundation.
The Integral Heart Foundation is a social service non-profit organization working to uplift communities in Guatemala. It was founded by Mick Quinn and Debora Prieto – both of whom have been inspired in part by the work of EnlightenNext.
You can read all about the work that Mick and Debra are doing on their website. And their personal story is deeply moving. It involves two people with hearts as big as the ocean who go on a trip to Guatemala and by chance see a group of school children leaving school for the day. In the midst of extreme poverty, they are so moved by the signs of joy in the children’s faces that they decide not to leave. Three years later they are heating homes, teaching philosophy to teens, and taking care of orphans and children of destitute families.
I will be meditating for 24 hours in Guatemala with Mick, Debora and some of the teenagers they work with. I would love to be able to go and meet them there with our fundraising goal of $22,000 met.
Thank you for supporting our marathon by giving generously to The Integral Heart Foundation.
