BENEFITING: Interfaith Social Services Inc.
Help needy, local students on the South Shore start off on the right foot in September!
Founded in 1947, Interfaith Social Services is dedicated to improving life for South Shore families and individuals in need. Their unique approach relies on a team of volunteers, donors and community partners to deliver compassionate, client-centered programs focused on hunger, mental health and emergency assistance.
Interfaith Social Services' food pantry serves about 500 school-age children each month. Every August they distribute backpacks full of school supplies to every child whose parents are food pantry clients. This initiative emphasizes the importance of education, defrays an additional cost faced by our clients, and helps kids start the year right.
Please help me raise money for this wonderful cause! All of the money raised will go toward assembling a backpack full of school supplies for children ranging in age from Kindergarten to 12th grade. As little as $25 is enough to purchase all of the supplies for a younger child's backpack, and for about $30 an older child will be ready for school in September.
All of the money raised through this site will go directly to Interfaith, where I sit as a member at large on the Board of Directors. I will make sure the funds are spent to assemble backpacks for local children in need. Thank you for your support! Angela Johnson
