Have you ever been to an International Permaculture Convergence (IPC)?

They are epic!

An event that draws the best and brightest permaculturists from around the world to help put together visionary solutions for a better world.  For more than 40 years Permaculture has been leading the way with innovative, planet and climate friendly design strategies that are just now being fully recognized by the rest of the world as the answer to some of our most pressing global problems.

Held every two years in different parts of the globe, the next IPC takes place in Hyderabad India, November 2017, hosted by Aranya Agricultural Alternatives, where Permaculture will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year!

The theme for IPC India is Towards Healthy Societies, with other subthemes, including Women as Agents of Change.  Founded by permaculture pioneers Narsanna & Padma Koppula, Aranya Agriculture Alternatives has been demonstrating and working on these themes for many years.

For the Permaculture community, the International Permaculture Convergences are hugely  important with projects and actual working design solutions developed and shared for the  smallest villages to the largest cities.

Diversity of ideas and approaches, by a diversity of participants, with knowledge shared across continents & countries is the goal of every IPC.

In order to insure diversity, donations are need for scholarships to fund some of the most talented & innovative delegates to attend. Many delegates are coming from cash poor but experience rich regions to share their projects and knowledge.

The IPC India conveners will support 40 Indian farmers to attend free, while this Crowdrise campaign,  with your help, will support International delegates from outside India also attend. Forty-two delegates have applied so far.

NOTE:

The fee for supported Indian delegates is 27,400 INR, approximately 430 $ (US).

The price for one supported scholarship international delegate  $654

PLUS: Flight costs, Visa costs and Insurance in most of the cases (Insurance: about 30 USD)

Please support generously with your dollars, the life & civilization they save may be your own!
