Lifeline’s mission is to minimize the human suffering associated with two of life’s most basic activities: cooking food and drinking water. Lifeline seeks to accomplish this goal through entrepreneurial interventions that have the greatest possible impact at the lowest possible cost.
Clean water and sanitation: One billion people don't have access to clean water. Our programs reduce water-borne diseases and improve the quality of life for rural communities without access to safe drinking water.
Clean energy stoves: Cookstove smoke kills one person every 16 seconds, and four million people a year. Lifeline's cookstove program mitigates the deadly effects of indoor air pollution, combats deforestation, and reduces poverty through income generating activities and cost-saving products.
