Walk, run, skip, or hop your way across the finish line of the Los Angeles Marathon and support LA’s hometown humanitarian organization!
The LA Marathon is trying to raise $4 million for Charity in 2014. This year we want International Medical Corps supporters to have the option to fundraise for us as they run.
One you have signed up for the Marathon, take the next step and join our team. Share this page via your social networks and email to friends and family letting them know that you intend to walk, run, skip or hop through the marathon for a good cause.
With a worldwide staff of 4,500 and thousands of volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps works in the world’s hardest-hit areas such as: Darfur, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Syria, South Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Haiti, among others.
Since its founding in 1984 in Los Angeles, International Medical Corps has delivered more than $1.4 billion in health care, education and training to tens of millions of people in 70 countries, with 89% of resources going directly to support programs in the field.
International Medical Corps’ mission has been consistent: relieve the suffering of those impacted by war, natural disaster, and disease, by delivering vital health care services and sustainable development projects that focus on training. This approach of helping people help themselves is critical to returning devastated populations to self-reliance.
