Invest in People
Organized by: Awab Al-Rawe
I am working on a local project that I am hoping to expand nationally that aims to invest in youth and impoverished individuals with a goal of yielding improved social contributions and achievements that would reflect positively on the community as a whole. For example, I would buy some high school kids, from economically challenged families, suits and formal clothes to encourage them to apply for jobs and go to interviews. Another example is aiding hardworking individuals who are willing to learn and search for opportunities in getting a computer, cellphone, school supplies, and such to enable them to be more productive and empower them to create a difference in their lives. Last year, I was able to donate 5 laptop computers to hardworking recent high school graduates who were accepted to college yet could not afford to get a computer. A year after, these students have been extremely successful and tirelessly working to pay for their expenses and achieving excellent grades.
