In Your Face Migraines National Pie Challenge

to benefit the Migraine Research Foundation

September 15th – October 31st 2014

Raise awareness and money for migraine disease and the need for research!

Pie In Your Face – Within 24 hours of being challenged by someone else, you have to record a video of yourself. First, you are to announce your acceptance of the challenge followed by having a pie smashed in your face. Then you, the participant, call out a challenge to other people. Participants are expected to donate $10 if they get smashed or donate $25 if they do not—but record your video either way! Individual videos should include the participant saying that they will be making a donation along with performing the challenge.

Pie Eating Contest – If challenged to smash a pie in your face, you can decide to organize a pie-eating contest instead. Get at least one other person to compete with you and see who can eat the most pieces of pie in 5 minutes. Whoever eats the most wins and donates $10 while the losers donate $25 each.

Every MRF’s costs are covered, so every dollar raised goes directly to fund migraine research and help sufferers. Migraine is not just a bad headache - it's a complex debilitating neurological disease that afflicts 38 million Americans. Despite its vast prevalence and major impact, migraine is largely undiagnosed, widely undertreated, and research is severely underfunded.

MRF raises money to fund research grants to discover the causes, improve the treatments, and find a cure.

To help the MRF fund innovative migraine research grants, I issue this National Pie Challenge OPEN TO ALL AGES!

As a fellow migraine sufferer, I am donating this money to help us migraineurs fight this disease and to help future generations win the battle. This is also in tribute to my mother who is a lifelong sufferer. Don't ever give up! 5 years ago

During this past month I've corresponded with several migraineurs and learned a great deal about the needless stigmatization they face. I'm happy to support research on migraines. 5 years ago
