November 04, 2016
BENEFITING: International Rescue Committee
ORGANIZER: International Rescue Committee
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
For you and me, running 26.2 miles might seem like a daunting yet exhilarating experience. But for over 65 million people worldwide, running is a way of life and means to survive.
This November, I am proud to run with the International Rescue Committee's Team Rescue, to raise awareness and funds to help those whose lives have been devastated by conflict and disaster. Since joining the IRC in 2015, I am consistently humbled and inspired by the strength and courage of the men, women and children around the world, who persevere against all odds to survive and reclaim control of their lives. By running this race, I hope to not only raise money but awareness for their stories.
But I can't do it alone! If you've been moved by the heartbreaking images of the current refugee crisis, but don't know how to help, consider making a gift today! Join me in spreading the word and raising support for resettled refugees in New York City and around the world. Every little gift counts!
Let's lace up our shoes and run together in this challenge for survival.
