The devastating effects of Hurricane Matthew have continued to impact Eastern North Carolina with historic flooding. Hundreds of citizens were forced from their residences with damage to lives and homes incalculable at this time. Recovery from the disaster continues around the clock as emergency services and public safety agencies assist those in need. The federal government has declared several counties in Eastern North Carolina as eligible for FEMA disaster assistance.
Despite the great difficulty the citizens of North Carolina have endured, the City of Wilmington, New Hanover County, Pender County, Sampson County, Bladen County, the Town of Wrightsville Beach, and the State of North Carolina are maintaining their support for the IRONMAN events on Saturday, October 22. Please help us make a difference to those in need in the community. Funds will be dispersed to the American Red Cross and The North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund.
