BENEFITING: UC Davis Health Systems Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cancer Center
ORGANIZER: THE IRONMAN FOUNDATION
EVENT: YOUR JOURNEY, YOUR CAUSE
On New Year’s Eve day at 5:09 AM I received a call from my son Brad who said Arabella, my two year old granddaughter, was really sick and is being flown from Redding California to the UC Davis Children’s Hospital in Sacramento. On January 2, 2015 Arabella was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Arabella will spend almost all of the next six months at the UC Davis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cancer Center undergoing chemo therapy and later possibly bone marrow transplant.
This is a highly aggressive and rare form of cancer and currently the survival rate is approximately 20%. To help fund more research and development of even more effective treatment, please join me in donating to the UC Davis Health Systems Pediatric Cancer Center. Please make you donations in honor of Arabella Rumley. Your donation to this worthy cause through the Ironman Foundation is 100% tax deductible.
