When I first heard that my brother had a seizure my initial reaction was one of well, it happens sometimes (denial). Then came the years of seizures, inability to find the right medication or combination of medications and no idea why he was having seizures. I think it was a relief for him to finally be officially diagnosed with Epilepsy. It gave a name and some meaning to the affliction, and it enabled doctors to prescribe more appropriate medications.
I can't pretend to empathize with my brother, I have no idea what it must feel like not knowing where you'll be when the next seizure comes. I know that it must suck really bad and that's about as close as I can really come to understanding it. But we can all offer people with Epilepsy hope that one day a cure will come. Your donation, whatever it may be, goes a long way toward reaching that goal and giving my brother the hope that things will change. Help us CRUSH this horrible disease.
