EVENT DATE: Aug 18, 2013
After discovering marathons two years ago and enjoying all the aspects of the race, from preparation to the injuries to the excitement of the finish line, this year was a chance to be a bit more adventerous and attempt a tougher challenge. The race consists of a 2.5mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a marathon, all done successively (for the french 4km nage suivi de 180km velo suivi d'un marathon). The ironman is going to be a great event to push limits, fight pain and see what a year of sacrifice, training hours each week, can help accomplish. My target will be to just make it to the finish line in under 14 hours... But most importantly it is an opportunity to support research in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) as well as people affected by it. This run will be about supporting the MS organization and I really hope you can support the cause as well and donate to this great charity. Your contributions are tax deductible and just think about how it will help the millions affected!
Thanks again to everyone, I will be thinking about all of you during all these hours of running and biking, and special thanks to those making the trip to Canada to support me and pick me up in pieces at the finish line!
