Cancer came in uninvited at the age of 24,
Cancer made me sick,
Cancer left me some visible scars,
Cancer took all my muscles away,
But my doctors, my family, my friends, and I... won!
I was stronger than Cancer!!! Or so I thought....
Cancer became part of my life,
Cancer made me doubt myself,
Cancer left me lots of big invisible scars,
Cancer took my confidence away,
But I conquer... me, myself, and I!
I rebuilt my muscles one by one,
I rebuilt my confidence little by little,
I built a new me until I knew 10 years later that:
Cancer would not be my life biggest accomplishment!
Today the Ironman Maryland is the biggest accomplishment I am aiming for. I will need all your support to get through such a challenging race. A word, some company during training, some supporter on race day, I will take anything you are willing to give me. However, if you could make a donation, I would like your support to go to the stupidcancer organization, to make sure no young adult cancer survivor has to go through a 10-year long journey to recovery and get his life back on track!
From the bottom of my heart, THANK U!
