BENEFITING: The National Children's Cancer Society
ORGANIZER: THE IRONMAN FOUNDATION
EVENT: YOUR JOURNEY, YOUR CAUSE
Thank you for visiting my page. Like last year, I have chosen a charity to raise much needed funds for while I compete in my races. This year I will be competing in both Ironman Texas on May 16th and Ironman Wisconsin on September 13th. For those who are not familiar, the Ironman triathlon is a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike, and finally concluding with a 26.2 mile marathon run. I will be raising money for The National Children's Cancer Society (NCCS) by way of the Ironman Foundation's "Your Journey, Your Cause™" program. You can read more about both below.
The NCCS is a not-for-profit organization offering children and their families all over the country the support and financial assistance they need in order to cope with this disease. This helps to east the financial burden throughout the children's cancer treatment. The NCCS also offers emotional support, advocacy and the latest educational resources. To date, The NCCS has provided over $61 million in direct financial assitance to more than 36,000 children with cancer and their families.
Every donation counts. Please help me reach my goal for this year of $1406 in donations. That is a donation of only $5 per mile I will swim, bike and run in both Ironman races (not including all of the training miles I will putting in week in and week out). Helping others is a passion of mine, and I want to thank you in advance for your generosity.

THE IRONMAN FOUNDATION -
Through The IRONMAN® Foundation's "Your Journey, Your Cause™" program, athletes will have the opportunity to identify a non-profit beneficiary as part of their journey to become an IRONMAN and race for a cause. The IRONMAN Foundation has established a fundraising program that will provide athletes with all of the tools necessary to enable fundraising efforts while supporting the mission of their organization. Athletes can choose any non-profit organization as the beneficiary of their fundraising efforts.
