BENEFITING: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
EVENT DATE: Jun 23, 2013
Hi all, as most of you know I'm running/biking/swimming my first Ironman this June. It has been one of my bucket list goals to do one before I turned 35. I wasn't planning on turning it into a fundraiser as well, but recently many very wonderful, dear people I know have been either diagnosed with, died from, or been affected by various forms of cancer. I'm sure you know someone as well who has been impacted by cancer, either as a patient or as a close friend or family member of a patient.
Since I would also like to think that my current 5AM training/suffering is going to a better cause than me going through an early mid-life crisis, I'd like to request for your donations to help leukemia and lymphoma patients and raise money for cancer research. As many of you know, leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20. I've previously fund-raised $1000 in the Jerusalem Half Marathon for childhood leukemia, but since I'm going many, many times that distance this time around, I thought I should be a bit more ambitious in my goals. :)
