Stuff About Me:

Isaiah Marx’s love of music got started at a very young age. Isaiah has been singing his entire life, and first began learning to play piano at age 7. This helped to create his trained ear for harmony, aural theory and musician skills. He later went on learning to play guitar, drums, and bass.

Isaiah has been performing locally for many years with many different musicians in the WI/IL area, continues to do so! In Early 2010, he joined Midwest Artist Network, a physical and virtual community of singers, songwriters, musicians, producers, and music industry personnel, founded by Mark and Gretch Hladish in 2008. He’s gone on to be a Contest Judge and Host/Mentor for members. Through MWAN, Isaiah was able to get a private audition for America’s Got Talent on October 22, 2011 in St. Louis, MO, putting him in contact with casting directors throughout the country for shows such as American Idol, The Voice, etc. He has recorded vocal parts and instrumentation for many throughout Midwest, and as a gigging musician, played venues such as Wal. Co. Fair, Country Thunder, Chocolate Fest, Venetian Fest, etc. His most notable performance was playing bass for Megan Rüger at the 2014 Venetian Fest. He’s hosted Open Mic’s at Caribou Coffee, Peet’s Coffee and Tea, and Potbelly Sandwich Shop, all of Lake Geneva.

Isaiah was classically trained as a vocalist in his younger years, even studying under our very own Amberleigh Aller among a few others. He’s also received training in Music Theory as well. He’s an award-winning performer, as he’s received many awards and honors for his vocals and performing.

From 2012 to 2014, Isaiah worked at the Lake Geneva House of Music as a Music Director, Instructor, and Administrative Asst., teaching vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys. He worked with their Beginner/Intermediate, Advanced, and Adult groups, and was involved in 14 of their student showcases.

Isaiah first joined the staff of Rock Central in November of 2014 as a Music Director, Instructor, and Office Staff member. After taking time off in February of 2015 to finish high school and start college at University of Wisconsin-Parkside, he is back on the staff as of 2016 and couldn’t be more excited! His teaching curriculum is simply to have fun, teach his students how to be better performers and musicians, instill a foundation in music theory, proper voice usage, proper stage presence, and to bring out your inner rock star!
