Janae and her family are on their way to Missouri!
October 21, 2016
On Friday afternoon(10/7/2016) I looked out my window at work and saw a mother and her 6 children sitting at a bus stop surrounded by suitcases and belongings. At first, I thought they were waiting for a ride and kept about my work. Two hours later, they were still there. She and her children had nowhere to go. No where. Janea is 27 years old and has 6 children. The oldest of her children is 12 years old and her youngest is 6 months old. Her family has been homeless in Sacramento for 3 years. Janea has found it extremely difficult to find housing due to her large family and her extremely minimal disability income. Her children are beautiful, kind, loving and resillient. She is fierce, strong and loves her family more than anything. She has tried so many avenues of asssistance and has yet to secure permanent housing. This woman is desperately in need of the communities help, our help. I am raising funds to assist her in maintaining temporary shelter for her family. They have no home, no car and are sustaining themselves on hope, love and faith. Funds raised here will first meet immediate needs such as a motel and anything beyond that will assist her in meeting the needs of rent and deposit for a more permanent solution.
