Ita's PET Scan
Organized by: Shannon Miller
My Aunt Ita is a lovely, wonderful woman whom I love very much. She, my uncle, and their two children live in Indonesia. In 2014 Ita developed cervical cancer, and they started treating it that year with radiation and chemotherapy. The cancer on her cervix was destroyed, but last year they discovered it had spread to her bladder. Due the bloating of her bladder, her kidneys began to fail. Lately they have been treating the cancer with chemotherapy and no radiation, but they aren't sure if the cancer is gone. And recently, because of all of this, my uncle has had to shut down their home business - making burgers and doughnuts - in order to help Ita. That means there is little to no income for them. I am starting this fundraiser mainly so they can afford a PET Scan at Darmais Hospital, and, if I can raise enough money, afford a better hospital, with better nurses and more effective doctors. This is my aunt's life, and you have no idea how much me and my family would appreciate your donation.
