Aikido Ethiopia has a wonderful opportunity to construct the first Aikido Dojo in all of Ethiopia. The First Aikido Dojo in Ethiopia will be built in memory of Prof. Donald Levine for his contributions to the founding of Aikido in Ethiopia.
This amazing 200 meter square space would serve as a headquarters for the development of Aikido in East Africa, serving more than 1000 youth and community members each year. This project currently has financial backing from the Japanese embassy in the amount of $70,000, which will cover all construction costs. It cannot be used to purchase the land. Therefore we are conducting an intense, short-term grassroots fundraising effort in our international Aikido community, to raise the funds to secure the land rights, so that construction can begin in January 2016. We have already raised $15,000 towards the total land cost of $30,000 through a generous donation from the Levine family in memory of Prof. Donald Levine, so we are halfway there! With your support, we can meet this financial goal to avoid the forfeiture of the Japanese Embassy's $70,000 commitment.
Thank you in advance for your support.
