My name is Ivonne Lara and I walk to end Alzheimer's in memory of my grandma, Conchita. She was and still continues to be my biggest hero. She taught me to love and always told me that every soul deserved kindness; she made me who I am today, and for that I am eternally grateful. My grandma lost her fight to Alzheimer's in March of 2014, but although she lost that fight, I refuse to lose the battle. With your help I will continue to fight against this horrendous disease. I will do all that is in my power to lend my voice and raise awareness on this disease. I will educate those who know little or nothing at all. Contrary to what many believe, forgetting is NOT a normal part of ageing. We must work together to stop this memory thief!
Thank you for joining us in this fight against Alzheimer's,
