EVENT DATE Mar 01, 2016

I'm Izzie and if you know me, you know that one of my goals is to learn the six languages of the United Nations before I turn 60. One of these languages is Spanish. While my parents do speak it, I do not. I was bullied out of speaking the language when I was really young and now I'm trying my hardest to come back to my roots. I've been in Spanish classes all throughout high school, and I thought that a study abroad trip before I go to college would be the best way to continue my studies.

I'll be studying in San Sebastián, Spain for six weeks with the SPI Study Abroad Program. It's a full immersion program, so I'll be staying with a family. I'll also be attending advanced Spanish classes as well as a few electives such as Spanish and Basque cooking. You can read more here.

However, I can't do it without you! Total costs will be around $11,000 for tuition and the flight. The deadline for the application is March 1, but I need to have a $1000 down payment by then and ideally I would like to have purchased a plane ticket by then as well. If you can help me raise $2000, you'll be helping me secure the initial funds for the trip.

If donating directly isn't your thing, but you would still like to support me, you can buy a t-shirt from me. I'll only order t-shirts if I get more than 100 responses on this form.
