Day 1 of World Series
July 20, 2016

Well, we made it down here Monday night and had an 8 am game Tuesday morning. Izzy threw a shut out and the Rebels won 12-0, mercying the other See More

Hi there. My name is Melissa and I have 3 kids (age 13 and 10 year old twins). My daughter, Isabel (Izzy), is 13 years old and first and foremost is an amazing student (4.0) and beautiful person inside and out. She's a loving and caring sister, daughter, friend and teammate. Her passion is Fastpitch Softball. She has played travel softball since she was 8 and rec and t-ball before that. She is a starting pitcher and most recently her team won the state championship and placed 9th in the World Series. She practices everyday in order to continue bettering and perfecting her skills. She takes pitching lessons weekly with a well known college coach and has improved leaps and bounds under his guidance. Her confidence and skills have soared the last couple of years and it's been so exciting to watch the remarkable young lady & athlete she's becoming. Izzy has been invited to join an elite softball team/program that will afford her the opportunity to showcase her talents and be seen by colleges and recruiters. Unfortunately, the cost of this program is not one I am able to afford on my own, plus her weekly pitching lessons, equipment and travel to tournaments. I am a single mother, trying to help my kiddo achieve her goals and dreams. I am not one to ask for help or a handout, so it is very difficult to ask for this, but a friend recommended we try it when she heard of my concerns and hardships. On a single income, everything adds up, even the food, water, Gatorade, gas to get her to places for her practices, games & tournaments while also caring for my 10 year old twins and any needs that come up with them.  Your contribution would greatly assist this single Mom and ease my stress of trying to make my daughter's dreams come true, while also making ends meet to keep my family afloat.  It will also help me to be able continue to pay for her weekly pitching lessons ($50/week) and play on an elite travel team in hopes to continue to live out her dream to become the best pitcher she can be and play in college one day. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering a donation to Izzy's cause.
