BENEFITING: RACE CANCER FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Sep 09, 2017
Hi everyone! If you don't already know me, my name is Jack Kozlowski. I am a recent graduate from UMass Amherst and I grew up in Quincy, MA. It's been four years since my first marathon (the 2013 Buffalo Marathon). I took time off for school, studying kinesiology and economics, and chose to limit my endurance training following the completion of that marathon. I began training earlier this year and decided it was time to register for a local marathon. I researched and found the Charles River Marathon which supports a great cause. This marathon is a fundraising marathon and donates 100% of the proceeds to RACE Cancer Foundation and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. I value the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's work and research to benefit families with the necessary resources. Children should fight for their dreams and not for their lives. In a world filled with opportunity, the last thing a child should face is the obstacle of a financial burden that prevents them from living a healthy life and pursuing their dreams. Brain cancer is the most common cause of single tumor cancer death in children. I'm asking for contributions to help children in need. The minimum fundraising requirement to allow me to run my race is $400 but I am hopeful that with your help and the help of the many great people around you we can reach my personal goal of $800.
