What We Do
The JAHJAH Foundation donates medical supplies and equipment to public hospitals and healthcare centers in Jamaica. We also share information and technology with healthcare professionals in Jamaica’s public hospitals and health centers. Best practice and proficiencies that are taught to our members who are healthcare professionals in the US, Canada, and the UK are shared with healthcare professionals in the public sector in Jamaica. Our ‘Mission for Change’ involves annual projects and short-term projects. Some of our annual projects are: Ultrasound Conference in Kingston; Pediatric Oncology Conference in Kingston, done by the JAHJAH Foundation in association with Columbia University In The City of New York, and Bustamante Hospital for Children; All-day health fair at Ulster Spring Clinic, Trelawny; and Healing in the Dancehall, at Uptown Mondays in Kingston. Our most recent short term project is building a wellness suite for the children at Hanbury Home for Children, an orphanage, in Manchester.
Making A Positive Impact
We enable partners to make a positive difference in people’s lives by supporting public hospitals and health centers in Jamaica that are in need. Our medical mission teams invariably return home feeling that they received more than they gave.
We would like to thank all those who have supported us in the past and we would like to encourage you all to continue to support us. We would also like to encourage Jamaicans and friends of Jamaica everywhere to support us as we work toward making healthcare in Jamaica’s public facilities better for everyone, and to improve education in Jamaica.
Let’s start re-investing in Jamaica. Thank you.
