Jaime's Family Ripped Apart Again - Stop His Deportation!
Organized by: Jenny Martinez
Jaime was first detained by immigration in March of 2014, just a few months away from graduating high school. He was informed that the reason for his sudden detention was a deportation order from when he was just 8 years old. Jaime was released from immigration detention after an overwhelming outpour of support from friends, teachers, family, representatives and advocates. He was granted a one year stay of removal to file for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. However, on October 10th Jaime was again detained by immigration when, thinking he was safe, he visited his brother at the immigration detention center. Now Jaime and his family are devastated to find their family and dreams ripped apart for the second time. Jaime's family needs to raise $8500 for legal fees in one week to be able to once again stop his deportation, so that he can continue being with his family in his community in Summit County, Colorado. Please support keeping Jaime's family together!
