BENEFITING: AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG RESCUEASSOCIATION
I am running the Worcester Half-Marathon on June 5th in support of the Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association. The ACDRA is a privately-funded non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and more importantly, a network of volunteers whose goal is to match displaced CowDogs with suitable homes while also educating the public about these highly energetic and intelligent dogs. We provide a web presence for the shelters who have happened upon these unique dogs as well as a resource for the foster homes who socialize them in a family setting.
I have been on a weightloss journey for 4 months and am now at -25 pounds. With 15-20 to go, I thought it would be great to have a final working goal for 4-5 months out. Luckily the Worcester Half-Marathon is June 5th and since I've been considering running one for a while and now I'm actually in the shape to consider it...then I'm going to attempt it.
While my personal weight loss is reason enough to celebrate - there are causes that could use a boost and by you donating, it could really help out a cause that is near and dear to my heart.
My goal is $1310.00 in recognition of running 13.1 miles. I'd love it if you could afford a multiplier of that number...yes I've done the math below.
$1 x 13.1 miles = $13.10
$2 x 13.1 miles = $26.20
$5 x 13.1 miles = $65.50
$10 x 13.1 miles = $131.00
$15 x 13.1 miles = $196.50
My two CowDogs, Naumka and Juno will be at the half-marathon with me on June 5th. The run starts at 8am and at 11 am, there will be a Finish Line Party and BBQ. Anyone local, with or without CowDogs, is more than welcome to come cheer me on and attend the after-race party. Of course, the more CowDogs, the merrier.
On behalf of every CowDog who has needed help including my Juno, I want to thank you for conributing to this worthy cause.
Best - Jake, Naumka and Juno
