CrossFit boxes from all over Indiana and surrounding states are invited to compete in this Central Indiana Affiliate Challenge.

Watch the video (to the left) to find out about the first competition and for registration instructions.

NOTE: Each individual on your team will need to register seperately. Once you create your team, you can "invite team members" or they can simply choose to join your official team.

Questions? @StrengthNRSts or email us at or call 317-536-4855

The Cause:

There are more than 1,600 homeless men, women, and children on any given night right here in central Indiana. These are our neighbors. They are classmates of our kids. They are people who need our help.   Together, we can help change lives.  On June 28, join us at CrossFit IndyShield--where the community will come together to take a stand for our homeless neighbors.  Will you help us to "Strength in Our Streets?"

The Competition:
CrossFit IndyShield and the Indianapolis Department of Public Safety (Fire and Police) will be hosting a one day CrossFit challenge called "Strength In Our Streets", an open event to all affiliates. ALL proceeds earned will benefit Outreach, Inc. and Wheeler Mission Ministries, two local Indianapolis charities for the homeless. (Funds managed by National Christian Foundation)

IndyShield is located at the IMPD Training Center - 901 N. Post Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46219

This event is on Saturday, June 28, 2014, and will include 10 member co-ed teams (5 men, 5 women) (Max = 24 teams), each competing in various workouts to be judged and scored based on the standards set by local CrossFit gym owners. Each team is guaranteed a significant amount of workout time. A component of the competition will be fundraising to help the homeless. This will be unlike any CrossFit competition you have ever seen!

The Indianapolis Department of Public Safety is standing behind this event, and will show their support of our community’s homeless by incorporating movements during select workouts that will honor current and fallen fire fighters and police officers.

Team Stipulations:
• 10 people per team (5 men, 5 women)

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to the shoulder

The Fundraising:
There is no registration fee for this event. Instead, there is a minimum fundraising amount of $75/person. All fundraising is done through this fun and easy-to use website before the event, so there’s also no collecting money for you! But don’t stop there, because the first round of competition is, indeed the fundraising, so the more you raise, the more points you’ll get before you even do the first workout!

All donations are tax-deductable. A receipt will be emailed to you from CrowdRise. All funds will be held and distributed by National Christian Foundation, and donations will be equally split between Wheeler Mission and Outreach Inc. to be directly used to help our community's homeless.

- Checks can be made out to National Christian Foundation. Include a note, "Strength in Our Streets".

- If you receive offline donations (checks or cash), please adjust your online page appropriately in the "manage my team" tab. -> "toolkit" -> "manage offline donations".
