BENEFITING: LOVE UNLIMITED FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Oct 20, 2016
Friends, Jamaican Women of Florida (an organization our founder is a member of) is assisting a young Jamaican girl who is currently enrolled at Broward College in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as an international student. She has a 4.0 GPA and is unable to pay her tuition for this Fall (2016) and Spring (2017). Broward College has extended her date to pay this semester's tuition ($4,839) and has allowed her to attend her classes. If she is unable to pay her tuition on she will have to leave the college and return to Jamaica.
She is a graduate of St. Hilda's High School in Brown's Town, St. Ann and is an Engineering Technology major at Broward College. She is the FIRST in her family to attend college. Her mother is in Jamaica with two younger children, and the whereabouts of her father is unknown. She was living with her grandmother in South Florida, but the grandmother is no longer able to accommodate or support her. The young lady is living with a classmate and is only able to work 20 hours per week on campus to maintain herself because she is an international student. She has applied for scholarships, but even with a 4.0 GPA she was unsuccessful. We are asking for your donations to assist this young woman to reach her full potential. She wants to return to help in Jamaica's development and to assist her mother with her younger siblings. Her transcripts are pictured so you can see just how committed she is in obtaining higher education. Your support of any amount will be much appreciated.
