Funds raised from this event will go directly to building a remarkable tree house at YMCA Camp Lincoln, providing tree-top access for everyone of all abilities, a true tribute to Adam McPhee, the foundation’s namesake. Your gift will give people with disabilities access to the outdoors, connecting them to community and to life-enriching relationships and activities. Mark Cadman, Camp Director at Camp Lincoln, says, “This tree house will certainly find its way into camp programs as soon as it’s complete, and we’re extremely excited to reach more campers within our community in such a creative way.” We hope to raise the entire $50,000 construction cost of the tree house, and we need your help.
Southern District YMCA’s next event is Archery Roulette. For every $10 donated, your name will be placed on our target for the opportunity to win prizes valued from $20 to over $1,000. On Tuesday, August 22, from 6-8PM, during Community Night at YMCA Camp Lincoln, arrows will soar to the target, identifying the grand prize winner of the first celebration in Adam’s Tree House (package valued at $1,020)! This celebration can range from a family reunion, to an overnight stay in YMCA Camp Lincoln's rustic cabins, or a fun birthday party! No matter which way this celebration is used, you will be able to experience the true magic of YMCA Camp Lincoln and enjoy a fully-accessible tree house.
