I know this may come as a surprise… but I occasionally run for fun. Actually, I mostly run to keep my clothes fitting. This year I am excited to have the opportunity to run the 2016 Boston Marathon as a member of Team John Hancock. As a team, we are raising funds for The Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston and the Ron Burton Training Village. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) provides nearly 16,000 young people in the Boston community with a safe place to go after school where caring adult role models deliver fun and enriching programs. The Ron Burton Training Village enriches the lives of challenged youth in the areas of dynamic character and leadership development, physical fitness, social and educational advancement, and spiritual growth.
People keep asking about my goals for the marathon:
1) Raise funds for these two admirable organizations.
It is with pleasure that have the opportunity to support a cause that ensures kids get the strong start they need for a great future as many of us have been afforded. If possible, I would sincerely appreciate your donation to reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you for your time and I appreciate your generosity.
