On April 27, 2014, the 9/11 Memorial will host our second annual 5K Run/Walk and Family Day to raise awareness about the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and to encourage volunteerism in memory of 9/11.
Please join me as I will run (ok, mostly walk) to honor Police Officer Moira Smith and her Brother Officers and their sacrifice.
This non-competitive fun run will take place entirely in lower Manhattan, taking participants on a historic 3.1-mile route that will pass important places that are part of the story of 9/11, and recall how we came together to support one another in the aftermath of 9/11.
If you can't be in New York City on April 27, 2014 for the 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk you can still participate, support and help raise awareness about the National September 11 Memorial & Museum by registering as a Global Runner. As a Global Runner, you can participate in the 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk by committing to running or walking from anywhere in the world.
All proceeds raised through your participation in the 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk and Family Day will support the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
Support a team or an individual rider, the top fundraiser will win:
- A free ride at the event,
- 4 tickets to the 9/11 Museum,
- A private tour led by Alice Greenwald, Director of the 9/11 Museum.
