9/8 8:06 PM - UPDATE
Blood work came back fine but he does have low potassium so they gave him an iv for potassium. Barium is moving but slow so the vet still has concerns. They are keeping him overnight and will do another x-ray in the morning. If it passes, we are good. If not they will perform surgery on Gus.

Jamie has been rescuing dogs for 10 years and has been advocating for Pit bulls for 8 of them. She's worked with numerous rescues and does so much for animals in need and humans alike. Now, she and Gus need our help!
Gus was rescued from MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) in 2012 and has been a prefect breed embassador ever since. Jamie has taken him to numerous events, including elementary schools to teach kids appropriate animal care. Last night he started throwing up at 7pm. He threw up in the middle of the night in Cierra's (Jamie's daughter) room then about 15 piles in the basement. This morning (9/8) he puked 5 times. He was very lethargic all morning drinking lots of water and falling asleep at his bowl sitting. The vet said he's pretty sure it's blockage. They gave him barium to see if there is blockage. The original x-ray showed some abnormal things. Lots of air pockets and cloudy areas that lead him to believe it is blockage. If it is then we will need surgery. Right now the vet bill is $700 for today but will get up to $3,000 if surgery is needed.
Any money raised and not used for Gus's vetting will be donated to one of Jamie's favorite Pit Bull rescues; Helping Pitties in the City.
Even if you don't personally know Jamie, all you need to know is, she loves Gus like a son, and no one deserves it more. You're helping an amazing person and great dude!
