JAR of Hope NYC Marathon 2016
THE STORY:
Thank you for visiting my page! I will be running in the NYC Marathon this year as part of The Jar of Hope’s ‘Team Jamesy’. Our team will be running through the 5 boroughs to raise awareness and funds for Jamesy Raffone and those living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This extremely rare disease lacks the funding needed to find a cure and this fundraiser can help save the life of little Jamesy. No one has ever survived Duchenne and most effected will need to be in a wheelchair by their early teens with a heartbreaking life expectency between 20 - 25 years.
As a team we have the muscle to push through this marathon and fight against this disease for Jamesy. Progress is being made, but we need to push on and help support this family in their fight. I’m asking, and hoping that you would please join us in the fight to end Duchenne by donating to Team Jamesy and supporting me as I tackle 26.2 miles to make a difference for Jamesy and the Jar of Hope.
