BENEFITING: THE JOHN VOLKEN FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Jun 18, 2017
Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Seattle is more than just a race. It’s a rockin’ run with bands along the route, thousands of cheering fans, and a post race concert.
By joining Team Volken in the Rock n Roll marathon series, or by donating, you are helping to change the lives of young men and women at the John Volken Academy.
This year's race is on Sunday, June 18th, 2017. It is a Stadium to Stadium run for the full marathon and 1/2 marthon, both starting at Alaska Airlines Field @ Husky Stadium and ending at Century Link Field. And don't miss out on our Team Volken Pasta Party at the John Volken Academy the night before the race. It will be an evening of great food, great prizes, and inspiring testimonials of how we are changing lives!
About the John Volken Academy
The John Volken Academy is a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment center for young men and women aged 18-32. Our residents overcome their addictions, as well as further their education, receive extensive career training, and gain all the tools they need for a happy and successful life of sobriety. There are currently three academies in Surrey BC, Gilbert Arizona, and Kent Washington. The program’s affordability is at the heart of its purpose. Other than a small one-time admittance fee, the entire cost of the 2-year+ program is paid for by the John Volken Foundation.
This includes the housing, food, job training, education, and more.
Our mission is to be a world leader in providing the most effective and most affordable addiction recovery program teaching relevant life and job skills and instilling in each of our students the desire to always be the best that they can be for themselves, for their families, and for their community.
