On November 24th, 2017, I will run the Antarctic Ice Marathon with a team of special operators and committed supporters to support the The Navy SEAL Foundation. The Navy SEAL Foundation provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families. Support extends beyond the limitations of federal benefits. I retired from the SEAL Teams a few years ago. During my service, the Navy SEAL Foundation was always there to support immediately following and long after a tragedy. My friend, Brian Hoke, died in Afghanistan last year...not long after he ran last year's race on the Arctic Circle in Greenland. His widow, Christy, will join us on the run this year. My friend, Job Price, committed suicide in 2012 while deployed to Afghanistan. His daughter, Jillian, continues to benefit from the Navy SEAL Foundation's support. These are just a few of our fallen heroes. We are doing this race because it is a challenge worthy of those we support - the temperature at Union Glacier typically ranges from –10C to –20C (+14 to -4 degrees F) during the race. The travel and race entry costs are covered either personally or by Robert Vogel, a partner at Whitebox Advisors LLC. Because this is not your typical 5K fundraiser...neither is our raise. Our goal is to exceed $1M - 100% of your donation goes to the Navy SEAL Foundation. All in, all the time - Thanks for your consideration and support to the Teams.
