Jason to live at home
Organized by: Kelly High
Jason is a non-verbal adult with a very severe form of autism. Each time he leaves his house he tears up his clothing when he returns. His family lost everything during Hurricane Katrina. The year before his father's car on the way to work went under an 18 wheeler. His father was severely injured and is brain damaged, he also suffers now from deep depression. His mother had to retire from teaching special needs students because of an auto immune disorder called ankylosying spondalitis. Jason will only eat costly fast food, and will refuse anything else then become violent as he gets hungrier. He will only wear sweat pants, shorts and tee shirts and he is large, so clothing donations do not help much. We have contacted sports teams to no avail. Medical bills and medicine are making us paupers and we often cannot clothe our son. If things continue he will have to go to a Louisiana institution which is nothing more then making him a medicine zombie. Please help us. We have done this on our own for thirty years, now we need the kindness and help of others. Thanks to all!
