Having a beard is something that I have never experienced. My facial hair becomes too itchy, too patchy, and just plain ugly.
Unfortunately, something that I have experienced, and almost everybody has, is a loved one being affected by cancer. Cancer research is something that is very personal for me, as my dad passed away 12 years ago from a brain tumor. Due to incredible doctors and research that was done at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, my dad was able to greatly increase his quality of life while battling such a tough disease. It has long been a priority for my family to continue to raise both awareness and funds to help eradicate cancer.
This fundraiser is a small effort. Your donation is a small gift. But this fundraiser and your donation both make a significant impact. This fundraiser and this beard are in honor of Fred Diamond. To the man who never had facial hair and taught me how to shave, I am going rogue from his teaching for this entire month.
All of the money donated to this campaign goes to MD Anderson Cancer Center. They are one of the premier cancer center in all of America. MD Anderson’s mission is simple: to eliminate cancer. Please join MD Anderson and me in the fight to ensure their mission becomes reality.
