The Jazz for Harvard intiative is a collaboration with Ward 1 community residents (Jewels in the City), local artists and jazz musicians to plan and implement free summer outdoor arts education & jazz concerts for the public; primarily youth in the (City of Cleveland Ward 1, Lee- Harvard, Lee-Seville, and Lee-Miles community).

The arts therapy project aims to provide a serene & relaxed atmosphere for the community especially youth impacted by poverty, gang violence, & bullying. Youth in these categories are more prone to violence, depression, and low self esteem.

The Jazz For Harvard will employ an array of local artists, musicians, and professional ethnic dancers. The positive synergy generated by The Jazz For Harvard will be unique & awesome, because outdoor events such as the Jazz For Harvard are lacking in (Destination Ward 1). Our goal is for the community to partake in a positive (cultural experience) where they can enjoy themselves, as well as promote (cultural pride).  #DestinationWardOneClev
