THE STORY:

Jazmin is asking for donations to give back to her much-loved "second home," The Playhouse in the Park. Please help her joyfully thank the talented and tireless directors of this top-notch organization: Pam, (Scenery, Costumes & Stage Manager), Danny, (Managing Director), and Scott (Musical Director), who claim very little credit for their hard work, and all of the volunteers who help make it all possible. Jaz loves "The Playhouse!" (Any amount is welcome!) Currently rehearsing for Willy Wonka: The Musical, her 14th play at the theater, Jaz is proud to be a part of this educational and entertainment organization. Willy Wonka says that we are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams. Thus, the name for this fundraiser. This fits Jazzy so well because she loves to make music, and she loves to dream big. In preschool, with her nose pressed to the glass watching the dance class, she dreamed she could do that, too. And she did! Next she found out she could dance AND sing AND act and it was called musical theater and here she is... Learning what TO DO with her appetite for knowledge and skills and love for performing, and doing it at this magical place has been a joy and privilege for her. Learning and practicing the craft of acting, singing, dancing and being exposed to costuming, make-up, set design, music, direction--all of it has been valuable and we are so grateful. DREAMER OF DREAMS Your donations will help Jazzy win the contest to become the top fundraiser, the "2017 Dreamer of Dreams." The Dreamer of Dreams contest is a playful way to raise funds and awareness for this well-run program. Your donation in honor of Jaz helps continue the important work of bringing theatre arts education and entertainment to Mobile, Alabama and the Gulf Coast. The Playhouse is a non-profit community theatre which has been under the same artistic management for more than 30 years and is known for its high quality, funny and inspiring productions by children and young adults. Help make playhouse dreams come true by donating on behalf of Jazmin the be the Dreamer of Dreams, 2017! The Dreamer that Dreams up the most funds will be announced at the final performance of Willy Wonka this summer! (August 13th, 2017.) Jazzy will be in every performance of the run, and looks forward to seeing all of her friends and family in the audience! Call 251-602-0630 for seats. In Memory of Jazzy's great grandmother, Virginia Bond Shell, whom I remember doing dishes tapping her toes and singing "Lookin' Out My Back Door," who was a fine craftsperson, and who raised six artists, and one scientist. 2 months ago
