Ty Campbell was five years old when he died of cancer after a long and valiant fight, and his story made an impact on me. He will never know what it's like to ride a bike, or a motorcycle, or even fly a plane (you never know where life might have taken him). I want to help his parents find a cure for childhood cancer. Will you sponsor my upcoming motorcycle ride cross-country? Pledge a penny per mile? Every penny of which will benefit the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation for childhood cancer research.
I am hitting the open road in a few short weeks and plan to cover about 5,000 miles all over the United States on my motorcycle. I left my motorcycle in New York when I moved to Seattle, and I finally have the opportunity (and enough time off from work) to ride it back via Florida to Texas to Cali and then, finally, Seattle.
I'll be leaving NY either Sept 26 or 27th, and plan on riding about 400 miles a day. If anyone wants to join me for a leg, please contact me so we can try to meet up.
