Join me in the fight to create a world without type 1 diabetes!
Hello Family, Friends, and Supporters of JDRF!
Again, I have joined Team JDRF to raise funds for the millions of people living with and affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D), including my older brother Chris German. The money I raise will help JDRF fund critical research to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until no one has to fear developing the disease. It will also honor the memory of my father, Robert German, who passed away September 6, 2015, from Leukemia. My dad worked tirelessly with JDRF to help find a cure, and I promised him before he died that I would continue his work with the local JDRF chapter in Pittsburgh. This year I have recruited more than 20 friends, family, and co-workers to run in my SECOND TEAM JDRF Pittsburgh Marathon on May 7, 2017! We each set a $500 fundraising goal in hopes of raising over $10,000 for research! Last year with your generosity and support we were able to collectively raise close to $20,000. You all helped us not only reach, but exceed our goal!
JDRF is the largest nongovernmental funder of T1D research and the only global organization with a strategic research plan to fight T1D. This science is complex and costly, and every dollar JDRF is able to direct toward research comes from donors like you.
Please support me and donate to my fundraising campaign. Even $5 will help us reach our goal! Your gift will make a difference for millions of people affected by this devastating, life-threatening disease. It will also help me continue to make my dad proud. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible today?
Thank you for your support! Please mail me cash or a check made out to JDRF. I also have this online page. XO!
Much Love and Remembering Rob German,
