My name is Jean-Claude ANTENOR and I am pursuing a double bachelor degree in theology and business at the Adventist University of Haiti. Outside of these programs I really care about the development and flourishing of the youth of my country. That is why I founded "Youth Association in Action of Northwest and Energy in Action for Sustainable", two umbrella non-profit, started in 2005 and 2012 in Port de paix and Port au prince, which aims to foster change and to construct an effective environment for youth participation in the decisions making process and community development. Through dialogue and immediate action plans it strives to solve the most critical issues of the contemporary world, particularly my country. Also I am a young social entrepreneur since 2007 to present, I am a Self-taught in fields of leadership, governance of youth and Youth participation in the society's life, and then I benefited a fully funded to attend the ROMUN2015 youth conference, which was held in Rome, Italy from 15th to 21st October 2015. I have recently been presented with an exciting opportunity, the 9th International Young Leaders Assembly (IYLA), on the topic “Moral and Innovative Leadership: Vision, Service, and Entrepreneurship”, which will be held in Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York City from August 8-17th, 2016. The International Young Leaders Assembly (IYLA) is a premier partnership-driven leadership development initiative that empowers promising young leaders to positively impact communities, nations and the world. Emphasizing the importance of vision, service and entrepreneurship as the foundation of moral and innovative leadership, the IYLA hosts student leaders and young professionals for interactive programs with globally significant leaders and institutions. Delegates acquire first-hand experience in leadership, join a lasting global leadership network and build a platform to tackle current critical issues. Now that I am on the path to becoming a Global Ambassador and it will be a wonderful chance for me to connect with others in my generation to share ideas and strategies about how to go about eliminating poverty, improving rights and access for girls and women, securing environmental sustainability, among other pressing issues of our day. As young leader these issues are especially important to me. This is where I need your help. In order to attend the 9th International Young Leaders Assembly, I need about $3,500-4000 to cover the program fee that include processing and registration, hotel accommodation, meals, activities and events, domestic transportation, my airfare from Haiti to Washington D.C, and from New York to Haiti, as well as my personal preparation. I attach to this letter the official acceptance letter and other document copies that can give more information about the program and payment information. I face a serious lack of funds in this moment. I hoped that you might be interested in supporting me in my effort. I know that the skills and relationships I will develop at IYLA will greatly expand my ability to effect innovative change in my country and community. I see it as an opportunity to link my local efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals with broader, global efforts. Please consider supporting me in my effort to attend the 9th International Young Leaders Assembly!
