BENEFITING: ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION
I am running the Bank of America Marathon on October 9, 2011. I am running for many causes, as my life, and those of my family and friends, have been affected by many ailments, tragedies, and diseases. I am running in memory of many dear friends and family that lost their battle with cancer, alzheimer's, liver disease, mental illness, ecetera.
I am running for suicide prevention; for the American Cancer Society; for Y-Me; for Susan G. Komen; for Mulitple Sclerosis; for the Alzhemier's Association; for the Epilesy Foundation; for the American Liver Foundation; for Parapeligic and Quadrapeligic Society; for the Organization for Autism Research; for Girls on the Run; for Catholic Charities; for Ronald McDonald House; for Big Brothers Big Sisters; for seniors; for the disabled; for the underprivileged; and for the Arts -- so please support my run.
I am running in memory of all those who cannot. I am inspired to run for all those who desire to, but cannot. I am running in support of all those - in their family and friends, that are afflicted with one of the aforementioned conditions.
Please know that your sponsorship/donation will help to raise awareness, fund research, further research, support programs, further programs, etc. At the close of my project, I had hoped to make a generous donation to several of the above forementioned charities, or give donors the option of chosing which charity they wanted to support. However, the site doesn't allow for this, and I must chose a charity at the forefront. So, the Alzheimer's association it is -- in memory of my great-grandmother, affectionately known as Big Ma. I will triplicate this project to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation as well as the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Illinois chapter. Feel free to donate to one or all of the charities
I am running, because I am fortunate to have the ability to; I run because I can!
Thank you for your support. Please consider sharing my project with your friends, colleagues, and family. Again, thank you for your support.
Favor is given to the cheerful giver.
