Every high school scholar deserves an opportunity to succeed in life; whether that's earning a honest living or having the chance to attend college. I am a mentor because my personal journey from high school into college wasn't filled with glitz and glamour. It tested my character and commitment on many occasions. The road was paved with many obstacles and challenges I wasn't personally ready for. So I made it a point to share my story with as many young adults going through the same experiences. Not to scare them or discourage them from going to college but to offer a real outlook on adulthood. I've been blessed and fortunate through the Grace of God to be in this position today. My hope is for our young adults to be aware of the difficulties ahead, equip them with the necessary knowledge to overcome those hurdles and guidance to help them pursue their interests.
