Will you join me in supporting youth experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles? For 28 years and counting, My Friend’s Place has been assisting and inspiring homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives. From a small volunteer-led effort serving meals from the trunks of cars to the dynamic resource center in operation today, My Friend’s Place offers comprehensive care for youth that includes daytime shelter, food, clothing, showers, creative arts workshops, employment services and clinical case management and housing support. Each year, My Friend’s Place serves more than 1,400 homeless youth between the ages of 12 and 25 and their children, providing non-mandatory, low-barrier and individualized care to help these young people move toward brighter and healthier futures of wellness, stability and self-sufficiency. For more information, please visit www.myfriendsplace.org Since its inception in 2013, the Run Hard Rock Café 5K has supported My Friend’s Place as the event’s official charity partner, raising more than $12,000 to support homeless youth services. Continuing this year, a portion of each registration fee, in addition to a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Hard Rock Café’s commemorative pin, will benefit My Friend’s Place.
