Jen Jogs was born in an effort to raise funds for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (http://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org). My dad, Dennis Lovelace, is living with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a rare lung disease for which there is no cure. Here is the definition of his illness: “Pulmonary fibrosis is a disease in which tissue deep in your lungs becomes thick and stiff, or scarred, over time. The formation of scar tissue is called fibrosis. As the lung tissue thickens, your lungs can't properly move oxygen into your bloodstream. As a result, your brain and other organs don't get the oxygen they need.” – National Heart, Blood, and Lung Institute My dad is living with this terminal lung disease and is currently beginning the transplant process. Please consider supporting the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in his honor, in a effort to bring increased awareness to this disease. Until he can run again, I am so proud to run in his honor and "make every breath count!"
