I am standing with the Dallas Yoga Community gathers again this year to bring awareness and support to underserved communities worldwide. By focusing our efforts on empowering those that serve future generations, we can combat issues in underserved children such as human trafficking and the lack access to nutrition, education, and opportunities for growth.
Locally, One Love is partnering with our friends, Hanuman Homies, to help start a yoga program at Jonathan's Place in Dallas, a children’s emergency shelter and a sanctuary of services for abused, abandoned, and neglected children and those in and out of the foster system.
Globally, I am proud to support Women's Interlink Foundation, in Kolkata, India. I have met them and believe in their programs and wish to empower these ladies to continue to do the powerful work they have proven themselves to be so capable. This year One Love will sponsor their Nabadisha Project, which supports 15 youth centers for street children. These centers not only provide the children with quality education, recreational activities such as yoga, and access supplementary nutrtion, but also provide protection from trafficking by networking with and educating local police.
With your help I hope to create change for the next generation and continue to block the path of human trafficking. Join me on Sept 16th, in celebration of our big hearted yoga community, with a morning of movement, inspiration and fun.
