BENEFITING: Bright Beginnings
Bright Beginnings is a nationally-accredited child and family development center. They provide homeless infants, toddlers and preschoolers with a safe, nurturing educational environment; prepare children to enter kindergarten ready to learn; and support homeless parents to stabilize their home lives and become self-sufficient. Their highly-qualified teachers prepare children for kindergarten with a rigorous curriculum that has proven effective with children living in chaotic environments. Bright Beginnings comprehensive services go well beyond their core services to crisis assistance that includes clothing, shoes, underwear, winter clothing, diapers and wipes, when needed. I am asking for your support to help fund Bright Beginnings crisis service initiatives. The money we raise will help them purchase critically needed items like diapers, pull-ups, and wipes.
The average monthly income of a family at Bright Beginnings is $700 including food stamps. The average cost of diapers per month is about $45. For a family with two young children that’s almost $100 spent on diapers alone. One of the great things about Bright Beginnings is that when a family has run out of diapers they provide the family with diapers from their diaper bank when they have them available.
I want to raise $1,800 -- or enough to buy a months’ worth of diapers for 40 children. Please help me reach my goal by donating today!
